Sierras 2012
In October we holed up in a condo in Mammoth Lakes, in the California Sierra Nevada mountains. We spent several days using that condo as a base to photograph the eastern Sierra, including Mono Lake, eastern Yosemite Park, a ghost town named Brody, and many of the canyons of the eastern Sierra range where the Aspen trees were changing color.

We went there every night at sunset to see what the spectacular sky would bring that night. The ragged peaks in theses photos are called the "Minarets". The colors you see here have not been altered or amplified.
