Ahh, Paris in October. We rented a spectacular apartment on the Ile St. Louis, sharing with friends. The temperature was in the 50's, it rained a little, there were fewer tourists. We drank wine and ate cheese. Say no more
St. Sulpice church was started in the 1300's and finished in the 1700's. The government is paying to renovate the facade, with the result seen on the left. Very different from the revolutionaries of 1769 who took over churches (including Notre Dame) and frequently stripped them of their religious ornaments.
Greg, Ken, Suzy, Hillary, Kyle, Peter, Barbara and myself (all friends and aquaintenances from San Diego) during our most endearing tradition: 5 PM wine and cheese in our apartment before going out for dinner.
