Jonathan Siegel (JSBird) > Ancient fortifications. In addition, an arch was found here that predates the Roman arches (they were thought to "invent" the arch) by 1000 years

Jonathan Siegel (JSBird) > Modern fortifications: Until 1967 (when this land was captured), the Syrian patrol road was where this car drives. The Syrians and Israelis skirmished over the spring source, just out of sight to the left.
